Who is Jesus?
C.S Lewis, a well-known Christian author wrote of Jesus, “Either this man was, and is, the Son of God, or else a madman or something worse. You can shut him up for a fool, you can spit at him and kill him as a demon or you can fall at his feet and call him Lord and God, but let us not come with any patronizing nonsense about his being a great human teacher. He has not left that open to us. He did not intend to.”
We at Bridge City Church believe that Jesus is who he said he is. The Son of God, The Christ (the anointed one). The Messiah as foretold in the Torah & the Prophets.
Since the Creation of everything the plan was in place for Jesus to come to earth and to die for our sins. God knew when He created us that we would rebel and choose to do it our way.
You might be thinking “I’m to bad to go to Church” or “I’ve messed up to many times”
But Jesus said recorded in Mark 2:17 When Jesus heard this, he told them, "Healthy people don't need a doctor--sick people do. I have come to call not those who think they are righteous, but those who know they are sinners."
Following Jesus
How to give your life to Jesus and follow Him.
[Romans 10:9 NLT] 9. If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
It is as simple as that written in the book of Romans. If you say even just from your heart that Jesus is Lord and believe that God raised him from the dead you will be saved.

Read the Bible
One of the main ways God speaks to us is through the Bible. It is rare for Him to speak to us audibly but it does happen. By reading the Bible we can learn about the History of what God has done so far, what He is doing and what will happen in the future. The Bible is called the book of Life, this is because it can speak to you exactly what you need to hear when you need to hear it. There is no other book like the Bible.
There are many ways these days to read the Bible. One of our favourites is the You Version Bible app. It’s free and has many features and Bible versions that really help you to get stuck into the word of God and develop your relationship with Him.
