What to expect during our services

When you come to Bridge City Church you’ll be greeted at the door by our friendly team. They’ll help you find your way and provide you with some information about who we are.

Take a seat wherever you feel comfortable in our auditorium. Different members of our congregation will come and say hello, we’re friendly and we love new people!

Our service starts at 10am, opening with lively praise and worship lead by our own worship team. You can stand or sit, whatever you are comfortable with. Words are on the screen for you to follow along. As the service progresses, announcements will be made with news and events in the life of our church. We continue with some worship, followed by a short communion message. Following communion, is the main message ( sermon), it incorporates Biblical teaching and is delivered by one of our pastors. The pastor will close the service with prayer and will offer an opportunity for people to receive prayer with the support of the pastoral team.

After the service, our cafe opens in the adjacent Function Hall. We have free instant tea/coffee, as well as barista made beverages for purchase (first-time visitors are free!). This is a great time to meet new people, make friends and learn more about the faith journey.

  • We love kids in our church! But if you need somewhere quiet or for your kid to release some energy, we have our creche and todder rooms available for you to use throughout the service. Both areas have TVs where the service is streamed live.

Questions regarding our Praise & Worship experience

  • We usually sing contemporary Christian praise and worship songs. From bands such as Hillsong, Jesus Culture, Bethel, Chris Tomlin, just to name a few.

It is our heart to worship and uplift our God, and part of Sunday services includes doing so in song format.

We have a live worship band that leads our congregation into worship.

  • No. Whilst we have stage lights for basic illumuniation and colour wash, we do not use flashing or moving lights.

  • Not too loud and not too quiet. Our worship volume ranges rom 65-90dB.

A variety of generations attend our church, so we are vigilant with our volume.
